Notion Forgetting Curve Study Schedule
This Study Planner and recall schedular is based on Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve Hypothesis. In the hypothesis, Ebbinghaus write about the experiment he conducted on the decay of information on the human brain over a period of time.
The study results show that the amount of information retained by the brain exponentially decreases over a period of time. With 100% retention on the day of consuming of data, to only 50% data retention on the next day.
The graph below depicts the amount of memory retained over a period of 8 days. By the end of the 8th day, you can see the brain only has 5 % of the information retained as compared to 100% on the day of information consumption.
To increase the retention of memory, Ebbinghaus suggested the method of Spaced repetition. Spaced Repetition is the method of constantly recalling the memory over a period of time to increase memory retention.
This forgetting curve notion template is created with the basic principles of Active Recall.
The template consists of a home page where you can simply create multiple study schedulers and map them with their respective subjects. The template consists of a content title, date, and the checker from the day you first consumed the information.
Come back each day to revise and try to recall all the information that you studied.
To use the notion template Click on"I want this" and it will redirect you to the template. Duplicate the template to your private notion workspace and use it as you wish.
Disclaimer: You are not allowed to redistribute the template as your own. Following this harsh action will be taken.
Research Based Space Repetition Technique used to remember what you study.
